Dear Diary,
     Unless you have been living under a rock, on September 8th Rihanna launched her long awaited new generation beauty line ~ FENTY BEAUTY (FB). It's hard to put my amazement into words, as FB is the first line that truly made me feel inclusive offering a WIDE range of foundation colours ~ 40 colours to be exact. All aspects of the FB cater to all skin colours, so whether or not you are trying to achieve the perfect highlight, contour, or foundation match, there is something for literally everyone, which to me is vital. Whilst still building my FB collection, I wanted to provide a quick first impression review of the line overall and the products I have purchased thus far, so leggo:


PRODUCT DETAILS

Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer
This step is a MUST in order to allow your foundation to lay on your skin flawlessly.  With a refreshing smell, a little product goes a long way, 1-2 pumps to be exact. What's great about this primer is that it does not leave white residue on the skin. Once blended into the skin, it leave a clean base ready for foundation application
Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation ~450
RihRih truly hit the nail with this one! While medium coverage, this foundation is buildable and oil free. For oily beauties, you will truly appreciate this one. I feel like Rihanna really took all the beauty flaws and annoyances she has experienced, and created a product that will alleviate some of those nuances, allowing ones to remain radiant while matte. I initially purchased colour 450 online, which is for deep skin tones with a warm undertone. However, once oxidised into the skin, the colour darkens ever so slightly, as such I will be trying colour 420 currently sold out in Sephora Canada. The best bet is to go into your local Sephora and get colour matched to avoid getting the wrong foundation colour. Overall, the foundation is great. 
Match Stix Trio ~ 400 Deep
Call me crazy but simple joys make me happy and I absolutely love the nude packaging and magnetic function of the Stix, which makes it travel friendly. 400 Deep comes with 'Suede' to highlight, 'Espresso' to contour and 'Sinamon' as a shimmer highlight. The Suede highlight is the perfect light caramel colour for dark skin and is light yet buildable. Espresso glides seamlessly leaving a sultry contoured finished ~ SLAY! Sinamon is a bronzed rose shimmer for those who love a natural glow. Like the Pro Filt'r foundation, the Stix trip are buildable, light, and leaves a flawless finish.
Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter ~ Ginger Binge/ Moscow Mule
I mean you can never go wrong with a cream-to-powder highlight. This multi-function compact can be used a both a highlight and eyeshadow and I am all for getting a variety of usage out of makeup products. Ginger Binge is a more dense shimmer colour while Moscow Mule has a more light glittery pop, perfect for both highlight and a pop of shimmer on the eyelids.
Invisimatte Blotting  Paper
Made with natural botanical fibres Invisimatte is a must-have travel item for oily beauties on the go. It truly leaves makeup intact whilst removing shine. Overall, it gets the job done and comes with refillable paper along with a little mirror so that one can target the shine with precision while on the go.
Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Colour
The Universal Lip Colour is a rare beauty and can be paired with almost look with its rosey nude finish. After a few hours of wearing, I realized that it did not leave a white cast finish at the inner part of the lip - now THAT is a success #winning
Precision Makeup Sponge 100
I am a true beauty blender girl but must say that I am impressed with this sponge. It does not soak up a lot of product and the functionality of the three sides and soft texture leaves a flawless finish. The one con is the flat tip. I personally love a pointed tip in a beauty blender in order to get small creases of the face. Overall, great beauty tool and seamlessly blends liquids, creams, and powders.
