Dear Diary, It's been forever since my last entry and so much has changed. Although this was meant to be a birthday entry, I really wanted to emphasize the plethora of things we have to be grateful for. The world literally stopped and put humanity in a state of panic due to COVID-19. Mental health issues increased, we had to remain in our homes for the most part and adapt to a "new normal". However, one of the main things I took away from 2020 was to continuously be grateful for the things we do have in life--Family, friends, good health, education, starting that new business you put off for years. At some point we need to take a moment and look at the good in life. A personal moment of gratitude was completing law school. After 3 exhausting years, industrial strikes with the final one being the greatest testament of will power doing school online with an increased workload and stress, it got to a point where I was worried that I wouldn't make it to the finish line. But through faith, family and a resilient spirit, myself and my cohort made it! THAT my friends is a celebration of gratitude. My long term aspiration is to combine my love for fashion and law and open my own law firm one day. We need more black representation in the legal industry and that is something that I have always held close to my heart. So cheers to yet another year of life as I celebrated a quarantine free birthday in May, a covid-free summer and more amazing memories to be created.

What I loved about this look was the simplicity factor and elegance with a pop of gold for a classic accent. If you look good you feel good. Never forget how amazing you are and your body is your canvas so let that creativity flow every chance you get! Screw the norm!
