Do you sometimes feel like your living inside a box (no pun intended) or like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? This use to be me, dealing with personal stresses and having high personal expectations, and when things did not go as planned, I would shut down. If there is anything that I have learned over the last few years since graduating from University is that life does not always go as planned. We start out with this perfect plan in our head and when we start to execute that plan and things go wrong, we do not understand why?
Sometimes in life, you truly have to take a step back and do some serious self-reflection and evaluation. If you continue to "live in a box", the weight of the world, in essence, stress or doubt will begin to take an emotional toll. I personally had to do this in order to get a clear sense of where I was going wrong in life and truly define my long-term goals and game plan.
Today, I face challenges head on with a more positive attitude. This is easier said than done, but I believe the first step is acknowledging that there is a challenge and that you need to take a step back, remain positive, and redefine or set a new course. Life is full of ups and downs, but failures or challenges do not define you as a person, how you handle them do. Stay positive - Stay Focused - Stay Empowered!
