YO! NEW YORK IN THE HOUSE....IS BROOKLYN IN THE HOUSE ~ ODB
Alright let me collect myself...
Dear Diary,
Happy to be back writing again. The end of year hustle and holiday prep has been a true delight *queue the sarcasm*. If you couldn't already tell by my dramatic introduction, I recently visited one of my favourite cities, New York. I had not been in 4 years, so this trip was long overdue, especially with my sisters. We went for Thanksgiving and stayed in downtown Brooklyn near the Barclay Centre. If you have never been to NY, please add it to your bucket list of places to visit. There is SO much to do and see, so it's only right that you act like a complete tourist. Here is a quick list of places I love to visit:

LOOK #1
What better place to express a bold attitude then in New York with Fenty x Puma. I bought this army green Fenty x Puma hoodie from a sale in Toronto and honestly did not know how I was going to rock it or what I could pair it with; all I knew is that I had to have it. My ruffle obsession lead the way with this purchase, and the intricate detailing sold me since it's not something you see every day #WhyFitInWhenYouCanStandOut. I figured I would keep the rest of the outfit simple with a black base, drawing attention to the hoodie as the focal point of the look. The rest is history...

LOOK #2
I toned down this look with over-the-knee boots from Aldo and my favourite fall coat by Dawn Levy I purchased from Saks Off Fifth two seasons ago. The A-line structure gives such an elegant appeal and parable with almost anything. Everyone needs that one go-to article of clothing that causes zero stress and easy to work with. I normally do not gravitate to the MCM line - too fussy. However, last year, I was in need of a travel bag and came across this beautiful bronzed backpack at Holt Renfrew's end of year sale. It comes in handy, not only for travelling, but also a great overnight bag - multi-purpose use is a must!

LOOK #3
This was by far my favourite look - oversized = comfort. Casually slayed those NY streets with my o/s jacket from H&M. What captured me with this piece was the beautiful colour and the fact you could wear it off the shoulders. Detail , Detail , Detail - Now you know that I can't pass on that. I came across this sweater dress at Zara with a corset feature at the front, which caused rouching - love! Although we had amazing weather for the majority of our trip, there were still cooler moments and if you know me then you know that the one part of my body that MUST remain warm is my neck; hence the fur scarf from Rudsak. Warning: Although I tried the trick of placing the scarf in a plastic bag and freezing it to reduce shedding, I still experienced quit a bit. For the finale, I finished off this look with black and gold spiked boots by Alexander McQueen, which added the perfect glam grudge finish.
